I recently had the privilege of taking the TEDx Aveiro stage to share my journey—from painting illegally on the streets as a teenager to becoming a professional artist using the same visual language to raise awareness for environmental and social issues.
The talk explored the contradictions surrounding urban art: how a practice once seen as vandalism can later become celebrated as culture, and how context often changes the way we perceive creativity. It also reflected on my evolution from seeking a voice through graffiti to using public art as a platform to speak about biodiversity, sustainability and the future we choose to protect.
